Set & Collector Appeal
Pokémon Base Set was the first English Pokémon TCG expansion and introduced collectors to the cards that defined the earliest years of the hobby. Today its cards are among the most nostalgic and recognisable Pokémon cards from the Wizards of the Coast era.
Shadowless cards were printed in early 1999 after the 1st Edition run. They have no 1st Edition stamp and no drop shadow along the right of the artwork box. Their short print run makes them a key variant for serious Base Set collectors.
